Your own database for each subscriber, backed up daily
The monthly work, in one place
Helm covers what a small business does every month: record what came in and went out, match it to the bank, close the month, and see what it means.
Every company opens on its CFO dashboard
Revenue, operating income, cash against the floor you set, debt coverage and the items that need attention, built from the entries you have posted. Before a dashboard is shown, it checks that every monthly figure adds back to the statements.
- Flags for an overdrawn bank, cash below your floor, uncategorized balances and months not yet closed
- Accrual or modified cash, switched with one click
- Download a self-contained copy to share with an owner or lender
- Monthly profit and loss adds to the year to date
- Expense categories add to operating expense
- Bank accounts match period-end cash
- Customer concentration adds to revenue
Bank feeds that wait for your review
Connect your bank through Plaid. New transactions land in a review queue with a suggested account, and nothing reaches the ledger until someone approves it.
- One bank login can feed several companies, account by account
- Reconnect prompts when a bank asks you to sign in again
- Statement balances checked against the books before a month closes

Close each month with a second set of eyes
A close checklist for every month: bank accounts reconciled, statements reviewed, notes recorded. The person who prepares a close can't approve it, and an approved month locks so its numbers stay put.
- Reopening a closed month needs a reason and a second approval
- Every approval is recorded with who, when and what changed
- Operating checking reconciled
- Savings reconciled
- Balance sheet and profit and loss reviewed
- Reviewer sign-offWaiting

Questions
What happens when the trial ends?
Add a card to keep going. If you don't, your books stay safe and read-only, and you can still export your reports.
Can my accountant or bookkeeper work in my books?
Yes. Invite them as a user and choose what they can see and do. There is no charge per user.
How is my data protected?
Every account signs in with two-factor authentication, each subscriber's books are kept in a separate database, connections are encrypted, and backups run daily on servers in the United States.
Which banks can I connect?
Bank feeds run through Plaid, which connects to most banks and credit unions in the United States.
Is this a contract?
No. Plans are month to month and you can cancel from your account at any time.
